Baker Hughes awarded an order from Black & Veatch to supply Cedar FLNG project in British Columbia, Canada with electric driven liquefaction technologies, including four electric-driven main refrigeration compressors, two electric-driven boil-off gas compressors and six centrifugal pumps.

According to the
Global LNG Database®, Pembina Pipeline-led Cedar LNG project has already received British Columbia's environmental approval which also includes constructing an 8.5-Km gas pipeline that will connect the project's site in Kitimat into the Coastal GasLink pipeline.
The 3 MMT/Y Cedar LNG project’s partners are Haisla Nation 50% and Pembina Pipeline Corporation 50%.
In other development, Cedar LNG has issued a notice to proceed the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of the project to Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) and Black & Veatch.
The final investment decision (FID) on the project expected by the middle of 2024.
