Some important points:
* Qatar’s share in the global LNG market reduced from 30% in 2016 to 26.7% in 2017 while Australian market share increased from 17% to more than 19%.  
* USA’s share in the global LNG market jumped from 1% in 2016 to more than 4% in 2017.
* In 2017, global LNG imports reached 289.8 MMT, increasing by 26.2 MMT or 9.9% compared to the previous year, the strongest growth rate since 2010.
* No new country joined the LNG producing community in 2017 as the number of exporting countries remaining at 19.
* One country imported LNG for the first time (Malta), bringing the total number of importing countries to 40.
